Workshops & Facilitations

Structured workshops and collaborative sessions
I design and facilitate workshops that turn discussion into action. Using Design Thinking, AI, and collaborative frameworks, I help teams solve complex challenges, align stakeholders, and leave with practical outcomes they can implement immediately.

DESIGN THINKING FOR EXECUTIVE MBAS

Delivered a practical Design Thinking workshop for Executive MBAs from OCP Group (an initiative from UM6P's Africa Business School in partnership with Columbia Business School). I guided participants through hands-on rapid prototyping to help them develop their projects.

The Challenge: A cohort of Executive MBAs needed a structured, creative way to generate and incubate ideas for their projects. Standard academic lectures wouldn't provide the practical push they needed to start building. The Solution: I ran an interactive, hands-on workshop focused on action rather than theory. Using an immersive exercise, I guided the students through the full six-step Design Thinking process. The Impact: Students quickly learned how to apply human-centered design and rapid prototyping to real problems. In the second half of the workshop, they successfully used these new tools to design and refine their topics with their peers.

What Was Done - Interactive Workshop Delivery: Hands-on, experiential learning format. - Rapid Prototyping: Fast iteration and problem-solving. - Peer-to-Peer Ideation: Guided participants to work in pairs to design and develop each other's projects. - Structured Feedback: Frameworks to encourage open, constructive review.

The Challenge: The Ethiopian education sector required innovative solutions to address local challenges and contribute to the 2030 Agenda. The organizers needed a way to effectively extract these ideas from a highly diverse group of stakeholders, including government, NGOs, academia, and the private sector. The Solution: I facilitated a structured innovation lab in Addis Ababa. Moving away from dry lectures, I used interactive facilitation techniques to guide participants through plenary sessions and focused working groups. The Impact: The interactive format ensured active participation across all stakeholder groups, resulting in concrete conclusions, recommendations, and new pilot project ideas. Following the event, I synthesized these outcomes into a final actionable report for the organizers.

What Was Done - Event Facilitation: Guided the full-day "No Future without Education" innovation lab. - Interactive Facilitation: Used various formats and targeted networking to drive audience participation. - Cross-Sector Coordination: Managed productive discussions between government, NGOs, and academia. - Synthesis & Reporting: Consolidated all working group findings into a final recommendation report.

FACILITATION OF AN EDUCATION INNOVATION LAB

Served as the lead facilitator for Alumniportal Deutschland's "No Future without Education" lab. I facilitated a structured dialogue between Germany-Alumni and cross-sector experts to develop innovative pilot projects for the local education sector.

AI CONTENT WORKSHOP

Conducted a practical workshop for Social Impact gGmbH’s Impact Community. I taught founders how to build a repeatable AI content system that saves time without sacrificing their unique voice and credibility.

Example slide from workshop

The Challenge: Over 1.2 billion pieces of content are posted daily, and more than 50% are now AI-generated,. Founders who simply copy-paste AI outputs end up sounding generic, lose their audience's trust, and waste time on posts that get zero engagement,. The Solution: I ran a workshop teaching a structured 5-part AI Content System. We clarified exactly which three tasks to delegate to AI (ideation, drafting, repurposing) and which three must always remain human (strategy, brand voice, final review). The Impact: Participants built a concrete 60-minute weekly workflow. They walked away with a custom "brand voice" text file to train their AI, along with a strict QA checklist to ensure their content always stays authentic and credible.

What Was Done - AI Delegation Strategy: Defined exactly what to automate and what to keep human,. - The 5-Part Content System: Built message, proof, format, prompt, and QA libraries. - Brand Voice Blueprint: Created custom text files to train AI on personal tone. - 60-Minute Workflow: Taught a step-by-step weekly plan from idea generation to multi-platform repurposing.
