Supported the AU-EU Digital Economy Task Force as a Sherpa. We developed a strategic roadmap to accelerate Africa’s digital transformation, boost job creation, and bridge the digital divide.

The Challenge: Africa's rapid youth growth is hindered by limited broadband access, digital skills gaps, and fragmented regulations that block cross-border trade. The Solution: As a Sherpa, I helped shape a strategic policy framework prioritizing universal connectivity, digital skills, start-up ecosystems, and vital eGovernance services. The Impact: The comprehensive roadmap now guides future EU development funds, aligning investments to build an African Single Digital Market and accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Challenge: 105 IMD MBA students needed a highly interactive immersion into Berlin’s innovation ecosystem during a 4-day learning journey. The Solution: Contracted by GERMANTECH, I delivered a keynote translating the unique mechanics, resilience, and mindset of a founder for these future global leaders. The Impact: The session successfully provided deep inspiration and real-world frameworks to challenge the students' own approaches to venture building and innovation.

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER: WIDU AFRICA (BY BMZ)
Serving WIDU Africa (an investment program by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development - BMZ) as an Advisory Board Member and developed a marketing strategy to engage the Ethiopian diaspora, turning remittances into matched funding for African startups.

The Challenge: African micro-enterprises lack capital, while diaspora remittances mostly cover basic needs instead of long-term business investments. The Solution: WIDU matches diaspora funds with public grants. I developed a marketing strategy to mobilize the Ethiopian diaspora from across 7 European countries via digital, influencer, and offline channels. The Impact: This localized approach successfully expanded WIDU’s footprint within the Ethiopian community, activating new investment streams and scaling support for entrepreneurs in the region.
